Anyone who looks at a map of China may see a vast land marked in northwest China named “Xinjiang”. Xinjiang,situated in extreme Northwest China and the central part of Euro-Asia Continent, is surrounded by mountain rangesand far from any oceans of the world. To the northeast of it is Mongolia, to the northwest are Russia, Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Xinjiang also shares borders with Pakistan, Afghanistan as well as India in its south. Thetotal border lines are 5600 kilometers in length.
